Frequently Asked

Everything you need to know before you book, arrive, and create.

Booking
To book a session, reach out to one of our approved freelance engineers directly. They handle all scheduling. We do not allow any other engineers to run sessions at Wav House. To secure your slot, send the deposit to your engineer — slots fill up fast, so don't wait too long.
Wav House is a private studio — appointment only. There are no walk-in hours. Contact an engineer to see their availability and schedule your session.
Rescheduling: Give your engineer at least 24 hours notice and they will move your deposit and slot to a new time and date.

Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows.
Yes — your studio time starts at your booked time. If you arrive late, your engineer will still charge for the full booked duration. Be on time to get the most out of your session.
Pricing
Studio A starts at $75/hr and Studio B starts at $50/hr. Each engineer's rates may vary — contact an approved engineer for exact pricing. See our Services page for more detail.
Mixing prices depend on the engineer and project scope. Contact an approved freelance engineer directly for a quote. Depending on how much time you allow in your session, you will leave with a basic rough mix of your song.
Sessions
A recording session is just that — a recording session. However, depending on the amount of time you allow the engineer, you will leave with a basic rough mix of your song. Full mixing and mastering are separate services quoted per project.
Only bring people who are involved in the music-making process — no spectators. If you do bring extra people:

Studio A: Maximum 4–5 people including yourself.
Studio B: Maximum 2–3 people including yourself.

This ensures everyone is comfortable and the session stays focused.
Smoking is allowed inside with a $50 flat fee and a 2-hour minimum. However, no tobacco products are permitted (cigarettes, cigars, wraps, etc.) — hemp products only. No smoking or vaping in the live room or near the microphones in Studio B.
Do not touch any microphone. Your engineer is trained and placed it in a specific position for a reason. If you feel it needs to be adjusted, notify your engineer and they will handle it.

We are on the north side of The Woodlands, TX.

We have a parking lot — pull into the driveway with the Wav House Parking sign. Do not park on the street, and when possible, consolidate the number of cars you bring.
Files & Mixes
Wav House rents rooms to approved freelance engineers — all questions about session files, mix status, or deliverables should go directly to your engineer. They are your point of contact for everything related to your project files.
No — Wav House does not keep backups of any sessions. All engineers are freelance and rent the rooms independently. Contact your engineer directly for any questions related to your files. We strongly recommend keeping your own backups.
